According to an Afghan summary of the Jaishankar-Muttaqi discussions, the two sides discussed ways to advance diplomatic engagement, trade promotion, and bilateral ties.

“Foreign Minister Muttaqi emphasized the historic nature of Afghanistan-India relations and referred to India as a key regional country, expressing optimism that these ties will grow stronger,” the statement said.
