India would highlight its power sector accomplishments during the BRICS meeting in Brazil the following week

Union Minister of Power and Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal will head the Indian delegation to the BRICS “Energy Ministers’ Meeting” in Brazil on May 19, when India will showcase its accomplishments in the energy and power industry.

“Empowering Global South Cooperation for Inclusive and Sustainable Global Governance” is the subject of the summit. It will bring together the energy ministers of the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) to talk about important energy-related topics.

These include considerable advancements in sustainable energy practices, biofuels, green hydrogen, and renewable energy, as well as a 90% increase in power generating capacity. India will also reiterate its commitment to advancing a sustainable energy transition and making energy more cheap and accessible at the talks. This global expansion coincides with India setting aggressive goals in the field of nuclear energy.

The Indian minister will address important topics including energy security, affordability, accessibility, and sustainability with the energy ministers of the BRICS countries under the subject “Empowering Global South Cooperation for Inclusive and Sustainable Global Governance.”

A 90% increase in power capacity, leadership in renewable energy, green hydrogen, and biofuels, as well as innovations and sustainable development in the energy sector, are just a few of the accomplishments India will highlight during the previous ten years. Additionally, the nation will reiterate its commitment to expediting the energy transition and guaranteeing fair access to energy.
