Some people even write the word “Thala” with MS Dhoni’s jersey number, which is a sign of imprisonment. Uthappa described it as extremely derogatory. He warned that such gestures are taking the rivalry of fans out of the game. He said that cricket should make a celebration of competition, not the stage of personal attacks.

“It has become very intense. They wear black lines white T-shirts in Jersey, which wrote a two-year ban on CSK. They wrote MS’s number and ‘Tala’ below it, to show that they were in jail for two years. It is happening beyond the game, which worries me. Because finally, this is a game,” Uthappa said.
