Prince William once joked that he should have . The , 42, and Princess of Wales, 43, previously met Dame Emma Thompson and Emma Stone when they appeared together to discuss plans to host NHS Charities Together and NHS staff at a unique drive-in cinema screening of the Disney film Cruella' at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Whilst they appeared to share behind-the-scene secrets, William had a funny interaction . asked the actresses whether Cruella was a fun film to shoot, with Emma revealing: "It was so much fun, we were all over London, we were in front of Liberty. They transformed Carnaby Street into 70s London which was amazing and then we were in front of Buckingham Palace at one point. I was riding a motorcycle around The Mall."

To which, William replied: "We should have had you stopped, Emma, that's very dangerous!"

Amused by the royal's response, she then added: "I know, I know, I really got away with it, on my motorcycle with a car trailing me around Buckingham Palace in a crazy outfit with make-up streamed down my face and black and white hair, it was insane."

Speaking to the pair, Dame Emma Thompson, of her co-star's outfits, said: "You're going to want all of Emily's [Emma Stone's] clothes, they're so amazing.

"Obviously you won't be able to wear them in public but they're so brilliant."

With the discussion taking place around the Covid pandemic, the group went on to discuss being allowed to hug after restrictions recently eased.

William said: "I got propositioned by a 96-year-old lady called Betty yesterday, who wanted to kiss me.

"She's in a care home and I said, 'Betty if I do that I'm going to get slapped on the back of the head for inappropriate social distancing'."
