
Investigation Underway After CRPF Jawan Found Deceased
Bhubaneswar: A member of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), who had been unaccounted for since May 16, was discovered hanging from a tree in Bolangir district, Odisha, on Sunday, according to police reports.
The individual has been identified as Ganeshram Bhoi, hailing from Ghasian village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Larambha Police Station, as confirmed by a senior police official.
Family members reported that Bhoi had returned to his village on leave and was last seen on Friday before he went missing.
Local villagers found Bhoi's body hanging in a secluded area and promptly alerted the police.
A police team quickly arrived at the scene to initiate an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, and a forensic team has also been dispatched to assist.
The cause of death for the CRPF personnel remains undetermined at this time.
