With the five-Test tour of England looming and the selectors set to announce the squad for the same in the next few days, Sarfaraz Khan is leaving no stone unturned to put himself in the mix. According to a report by India Today, the right-handed batter has been working on his fitness, losing 10 kgs by consuming only boiled chicken and veggies.
Although Sarfaraz has a sensational first-class record, he hasn't made the most of his opportunities in Test cricket, having made his debut last year at home against England. While the Mumbai cricketer struck 150 in a losing cause against New Zealand in Bengaluru, his highest score in the next five innings was only 11. Subsequently, he didn't play even one Test during the Australia tour where India lost 3-0.
In six Tests so far, Sarfaraz has made 371 runs at 37.10 alongside one hundred and three half-centuries.
