5 Killed After Speeding Car Falls Into Jagbudi River From Mumbai-Goa Highway

At least five people were killed after a speeding car fell into the Jagbudi River from the Mumbai-Goa highway on Monday.
The driver of the car survived but sustained serious injuries. The relief team promptly arrived at the scene, retrieved the car from the river, and provided assistance.
All the people in the car were going from Mira Road in Mumbai to Devrukh in Ratnagiri to attend a funeral. The driver lost control near the Jagbudi river on the Mumbai-Goa highway and the car went out of control and fell into the river at approximately 6 am today.
The police have sent the bodies for postmortem and have initiated an investigation into the matter.
