For over 25 years, Dattaray and Madhavi Goilkar have immersed themselves in the world of art, nurturing it not only as a personal passion but also as a medium for community empowerment. Their institution, Samarthkala Mahavidyalayla, is a testament to their commitment. Today, it stands tall with 11,400 students honing their craft across diverse artistic disciplines-an extraordinary milestone in the field of creative education.

Their latest exhibition at the FPH Gallery is a vibrant reflection of their lifelong journey. The showcased works don’t adhere to a single theme; instead, they explore the full spectrum of artistic expression. Dattaray Goilkar’s pieces, made with oil, acrylic, and watercolor, demonstrate his mastery across mediums while inviting viewers into deeply personal realms of thought and emotion.

Paintings that come alive

One of the most striking pieces on display is Mohini-a captivating painting of a woman whose eyes seem to follow the viewer, creating a lifelike and almost mystical experience.
