It was the first win of the campaign for the Royals but the inaugural IPL champions' campaign haven't been able to carry on with the same consistency, especially with Sanju Samson missing a handful of games due to the rib injury suffered during the fixture against the Delhi Capitals. The Super Kings have endured a similar campaign, with MS Dhoni forcing to take over as captain after the elbow injury to Ruturaj Gaikwad.
