RCB fans disappointed as Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy Stadium will not host any more IPL 2025 matches

Bengaluru: In a major disappointment to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fans, the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium will no longer host any more matches this IPL season due to unfavourable weather conditions.

RCB is set to face Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 23 in what was originally scheduled to be a home game in Bengaluru. However, due to continuous rainfall in the city and the possibility of further disruption, the match has now been shifted to the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

This decision comes after RCB’s last home game against Kolkata Knight Riders was washed out without even a toss, forcing both teams to share points.

With the India Meteorological Department forecasting more rain in Bengaluru over the coming days, the BCCI has decided to relocate the May 23 match to avoid further interruptions.

RCB has already qualified for the playoffs and is now aiming for a top position in the league table. Their final league match is scheduled to be held in Lucknow on May 27 against the Lucknow Super Giants. The IPL 2025 playoff matches will be held in Mullanpur and Ahmedabad.

This means RCB fans will not get to witness any more live matches at the Chinnaswamy Stadium this season.
