
Jaipur: In wake of Türkiye's boycott due to its support to Pakistan in the recent Into-Pakistan conflict, the government run Haridev Joshi University of Journalism and Mass Communication (HJU) has suspended the MoU with Afyon Kocatepe University of Türkiye for academic exchange. This MOU was signed between HJU and Afyon Kocatepe University for academic exchange on June 22, 2024.The Vice Chancellor of Haridev Joshi University of Journalism and Mass Communication, Prof. Sudhi Rajeev, said, it was necessary to take this step for national security and sovereignty due to Turkey's anti-India stance. "We have informed Afyon Kocatepe University Turkey that the MoU signed on June 22, 2024 should be considered suspended with immediate effect. The MoU will automatically be cancelled after three months.,"said the Vice Chancellor. Notably, under the call for boycott of Türkiye, many major universities of the country have broken their ties with the academic institutions of Türkiye.
