
Gold Rate Today On May 21, 2025, the price of precious metals climbed in the local futures market as global tensions escalated and the US currency dropped. Today, the June 5 gold contract on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) began at Rs 95,344 per 10 kilos, up Rs 503 from the previous close of Rs 94,841. It kept going up, peaking at Rs 95,655, a gain of Rs 814. At about 11:52 a.m., the price of gold was up 0.80% at Rs 95,598.
On the international market, COMEX gold was trading at around $3,313.9 per troy ounce. The price of spot gold was up about 1% at 11:50 a.m., at roughly $3,315.46 an ounce.

On Wednesday, May 21, the retail sector also saw a sharp increase in the price of gold for all purity levels. Goodreturns states that the current price of 24-carat gold is Rs 97,420/10 grams, while the rate for 22-carat gold is Rs 89,300 per 10 grams.
