Smartphone Charging Port Tricks: Smartphones have become a part of our lives. You must be spending all your time with it. Be it personal work or official, all are completed on it. Many times, after using the phone for the whole day, its parts start having problems. Such as the phone's camera, phone speaker, battery, and charging port. If we talk about the charging port, then dust, soil, or lint accumulate in it. Today we will tell you about such home tricks, with which you can get rid of this problem by cleaning your phone's charging port in minutes.
Why and how does dirt accumulate in the charging port?
Your phone must be in your hand or in your bag, pocket throughout the day. This is the reason why dust goes into it. There are dust particles at these places, which go into your phone along with your bag or pocket. Now it is not a matter of one day, you must be doing this again and again, due to which the dirt accumulates inside the port and forms a layer. Due to this, the charging cable does not make proper contact, and the phone stops charging or charges very slowly.
These preparations are necessary before cleaning the charging port.
Safety first, avoid damage.
1. Turn off the phone first: If you are going to clean the phone, first switch off your smartphone. This will prevent the risk of a short circuit.
2. Lighting arrangement: The charging port is small, so choose a well-lit place or use a torch so that you can see inside the port properly.
How to clean the charging port?
1. Take the help of a Toothpick and Cotton
Take a thin wooden or plastic toothpick.
Put a very small part of cotton on its tip and wrap it. Keep in mind that the part should be so small that it can reach the speaker inside.
Now, very gently insert the toothpick inside the charging port and try to remove the dirt accumulated on the corners and walls.
Do not apply too much pressure, because the delicate pins present inside the port can get damaged.
2. Compressed air from a can
This is one of the safest methods. You will easily find compressed air cans in the market.
Keep the can upright, take its nozzle near the port, and blow air in short bursts.
This will remove the dry dirt and dust trapped inside.
Never use the can upside down, as it may release liquid, which can damage the phone. Avoid blowing with your mouth, as it may contain moisture.
3. Take a small brush with soft bristles
Take a new, clean, and dry small brush with very soft bristles.
Gently insert the brush inside the port and remove the dirt.
What to do after cleaning?
When the port of your phone is clean, first turn on the phone and then try connecting the charger. If the cleaning is done properly, the phone will start charging.
Never make these mistakes.
Sharp metal objects: If you feel that the charging port is not working properly, then never use these things unnecessarily. Such as pin, needle or any sharp object. This can damage the delicate connectors inside the port. Apart from this, never pour water or any foreign liquid into the charging port. While cleaning, remember not to apply too much force or pressure.
