Diplomatic Tensions Rise as India Expels Pakistani Official
New Delhi: On Wednesday, India announced the expulsion of a Pakistani diplomat from the Pakistan High Commission, citing involvement in activities inconsistent with his official role.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has mandated that the official must exit the country within 24 hours.
A formal demarche was presented to the Charge d'Affaires of the Pakistan High Commission regarding this matter.
The MEA emphasized the necessity for the Pakistani diplomats and officials in India to refrain from misusing their diplomatic privileges.
This expulsion follows a similar incident on May 13, when another Pakistani official was sent away due to allegations of espionage.
