According to the information, on Thursday, the Punjab and Haryana High Court received threats to bomb through email. As soon as this information was stirred in the entire court premises to the people present there. People started running from here to there. In a hurry, the court complex was evacuated. After the information, in addition to the security officer and the Bomb Squad team, Snaipper Dog reached the spot and started a intensive search operation. However, no objectionable thing of any kind has been found from the court premises so far. At present, the Chief Justice and Advocates have been sent out of the court premises and no one is being allowed to enter.
According to news agency ANI, all the big officers of Chandigarh Police are present in the High Court campus. Those who are taking stock of the security system there. Along with this, security of the surrounding areas has been increased. Apart from the High Court, security of Punjab Assembly and Secretariat has also been increased.
What did the president of the bar association say
Sartej Narula, president of the Punjab Haryana High Court Bar Association, said that through email, the High Court has received threats to bomb. After this, the police has vacated the entire campus in view of security. All the senior police officers and bomb squads are present on the spot. He said that 6 to 7 thousand lawyers and about 5 thousand people come to the High Court every day.
