Enzo Maresca will be looking to get his hands on the final piece – or two – of the puzzle in the summer transfer window. Chelsea enjoyed an excellent start to the season, .
At one stage, the Blues were considered to be potential title contenders. Unfortunately for Maresca, though, , falling well behind Liverpool and Arsenal.

If Chelsea can beat Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon and secure a place in the European top-flight, . This summer, the transfer window will open for Premier League clubs on June 1 before briefly closing again on June 10.
It will then reopen on June 16 once the FIFA Club World Cup ends, and . So, with that being said, football.london has looked at how Chelsea could set up next season with a couple of new faces.
Osimhen leads the Chelsea frontlineVictor Osimhen could give Chelsea the cutting edge they need to finally compete on all fronts. The Napoli striker was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge last summer, but a deal collapsed at the eleventh hour, so he joined Galatasaray on loan instead.
football.london understands that . It's believed that Chelsea wanted to sign the 26-year-old on a season-long loan, which included an obligation-to-buy clause.
Despite the west Londoners' best efforts, they couldn't reach an agreement with the Italian giants before the deadline. So, having already been exiled by Antonio Conte, and joined Galatasaray.
The , who sees his contract at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium expire in June 2026, featured 29 times in the Süper Lig this season, scoring 25 goals and providing five assists. Playing a key role in Okan Buruk's side, Osimhen helped the Turkish giants win their third successive title.
Madueke keeps his place on the rightNoni Madueke should keep his place on the right. While the 23-year-old may not have scored as many goals as he had hoped this season, he's shown flashes of brilliance and made great progress under Maresca.
Recently, Madueke has featured on the left, which has allowed him to polish his craft as a winger. On the right, he was often predictable, cutting inside onto his stronger foot and striking the ball goal-bound.
But, on the opposite flank, he's proven he can beat his marker to the touchline. Madueke will be under pressure to impress next term, with Estevao Willian arriving from Palmeiras and partial Pedro Neto to a cross into the corridor of uncertainty.
Palmer given the license to roamCole Palmer also keeps his place in the starting lineup. Under Maresca, the 23-year-old has made great progress towards becoming the all-encompassing attacking midfielder, picking up the ball in the left AND right half-spaces.
With Osimhen leading the frontline, there wouldn't be as much pressure on Palmer to find the back of the net. So, he could be given a license to roam the final third and build attacking sequences.
Rodrygo finally solves Chelsea puzzleTo complete Maresca's new-look frontline, Rodrygo features on the left. The 24-year-old forward faces an uncertain future at Real Madrid after supposedly falling out of favour with Carlo Ancelotti.
Chelsea are spoiled for choice on the right-hand side, but they've struggled to find a reliable left winger. Rodrygo, who currently value at £84m, could be what the Blues have missed this term.
According to , Chelsea are closely monitoring the Brazil international's situation at Real Madrid, and they're considering a bid. The report claims the west Londoners haven't opened talks with Los Blancos yet, but they've contacted his entourage to understand the possibility of a move.
That said, Bobby Vincent from football.london understands that Chelsea are not interested in signing Rodrygo this summer. The Blues feel his wage would be too high, which does not fit their model.
