PM Modi's Strong Stance Against Pakistan
Bikaner: During a recent address in Rajasthan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that India's adversaries have learned the consequences of provoking the nation, referring to the transformation of 'sindoor' into gunpowder. He praised the Indian armed forces for their decisive actions that left Pakistan in a vulnerable position.
This speech marked Modi's first public appearance in Rajasthan following Operation Sindoor, initiated after the Pahalgam terror incident. He criticized Pakistan, stating, "In just 22 minutes, we dismantled nine major terror hideouts in retaliation for the April 22 attack."
Modi declared, "The world has witnessed the repercussions when 'sindoor' morphs into 'barood' (gunpowder)," during his speech in Palana, a town near the Pakistan border.
He asserted, "It's not blood that flows through my veins, but sindoor," warning that Pakistan will face severe consequences for every act of terrorism.
The Prime Minister clarified that India's response to terrorism is not merely revenge but a 'new form of justice,' emphasizing that discussions with Pakistan will focus solely on the issue of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
In a firm warning to Pakistan, he stated that India will not be intimidated by nuclear threats and will respond decisively to any terrorist attacks.
"If there is a terrorist attack on India, we will retaliate appropriately. The timing and methods will be determined by our military, and the conditions will be ours. India will not be cowed by atomic threats. We will not differentiate between the terrorists and the government that supports them; they will be treated as one," he explained, outlining three principles from Operation Sindoor.
He remarked that Pakistan's strategy of using state and non-state actors will no longer be effective.
Commending the armed forces for their execution of Operation Sindoor, he stated, "Our government empowered all three branches of the military, leading to a situation where Pakistan was compelled to capitulate."
Modi noted that while Pakistan attempted to strike the Nal air base in Bikaner, it failed to inflict any damage, contrasting it with the destruction of Pakistan's Rahimyar Khan air base, which he claimed is now incapacitated.
He reiterated that Pakistan cannot win in direct confrontations with India, as it has consistently faced defeat, which is why it resorts to terrorism as a means of warfare.
Recalling his rally in Churu after the 2019 Balakot airstrike, Modi reaffirmed his commitment to the nation, stating, "I vowed not to let the country down."
He proclaimed, "From Rajasthan, I declare that those who sought to erase sindoor have been eliminated. Those who have spilled Indian blood have paid dearly for it. Their pride in weaponry has been buried under rubble."
He reiterated that this is not merely vengeance but a new form of justice, representing a capable and fierce India.
Modi highlighted that previous operations, such as the 2016 surgical strikes and the Balakot airstrike, involved entering enemy territory, but now the approach is more direct.
He condemned Pakistan for spreading terror and instilling fear among innocent people in India.
"Today, I stand here as a servant of 'Maa Bharti' with pride. My mind is calm, but my resolve is fierce," he stated.
He reiterated that there will be no negotiations with Pakistan, only discussions regarding Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
"If Pakistan continues its terrorist exports, it will have to plead for every resource. Pakistan will not receive its rightful share of water from India. Playing with the blood of Indians will have severe repercussions for Pakistan. This is India's commitment, and no force can undermine it," he asserted.
The Prime Minister emphasized that both security and prosperity are essential for a developed India, achievable only when every part of the nation is fortified.
He also mentioned the multi-party delegations being sent globally to showcase India's determination to confront state-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan and to assert its right to self-defense following Operation Sindoor.
"Our delegations are reaching out worldwide to reveal the truth. The true face of Pakistan will be exposed to the world," he concluded.
India executed precision strikes under Operation Sindoor on terror infrastructure on May 7, in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam attack that resulted in 26 fatalities.
Following India's actions, Pakistan attempted to target Indian military bases on May 8, 9, and 10, leading to a robust counter-offensive by Indian forces against several Pakistani military sites.
An understanding was reached between India and Pakistan on May 10 to cease military hostilities after four days of intense cross-border drone and missile exchanges.
