Ayush Mhatre, Suryavanshi Named in India U19 Squad for Tour of England

The batting sensationals Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been named in the India U19 Squad for the upcoming tour of England.

Both players have showcased exceptional performances for their respective teams in the IPL 2025 tournament. The CSK opener will be captaining the side for the multi format tour in June-July 2025.

The tour will see India U19 play England U19 in a 50-over warm-up match, a five match Youth one-day series and two multi-day matches.

The wk-batter Abhigyan Kundu from Mumbai, has been named as the vice-captain. Vihaan Malhotra from Punjab, who has opened the batting with Suryavanshi in the past, is also part of the squad.

Meanwhile Wk-batter Harvansh Pangalia of Saurashtra, Bengal seamer Yudhajit Guha, Kerala legspinner Mohamed Enaan and Punjab offspinner Anmoljeet Singh are other players who represented India in U19 squad.

In an official statement, the BCCI confirmed: “The Junior Cricket Committee has selected India’s U19 squad for the tour of England.”

Vaibhav Suryavanshi who joined Rajasthan Royals for INR 1.1 crore, scored 252 runs across seven matches at a blistering strike rate of 206.56 which included a century.

His standout knock come against Gujarat Titans, hammering a century, tallying 18 boundaries and 24 sixes over the tournament.

On the other hand, Ayush Mhatre made his IPL debut for CSK as a replacement for Ruturaj Gaikwad, collecting 206 runs in six games at an average of 34.33 including a top score of 94.
