The ground-breaking “Mana Ooru Kosam Maatamanti” (Let’s Talk for Our Village) initiative was launched on Thursday by Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Panchayat Raj & Rural Development Pawan Kalyan. Dispelling the myth that “villages are neglected, and their basic problems are not addressed” is the initiative’s main goal.

“The objective of this program is not just to discuss problems but to foster unity among villagers by bringing everyone together to discuss all village matters,” Pawan Kalyan emphasized in his remarks at the opening. He emphasized the program’s importance, pointing out that after two hours of deliberation on concerns, village development, and other important topics, over Rs 15 crore worth of work for a single village was approved—a noteworthy accomplishment. He emphasized that while government funding is crucial, extensive citizen knowledge and engagement are necessary for communities to actually thrive.

Villagers from the Ravivalasa Gram Panchayat in the Srikakulam district’s Tekkali constituency were taken to a Tekkali movie theater for the occasion. Pawan Kalyan took part via video conference from his Mangalagiri headquarters, interacting with the people via a live feed on a large screen. He spoke with them personally, asking about problems in the hamlet and the state of affairs at the time.

For Ravivalasa Panchayat, development projects totaling Rs 15 crore were approved. These included, among other things, 14 CC roads, 4 drainage systems, a bus shelter, a dhobi ghat, a school compound wall, tank and water canal rehabilitation, and cremation ground amenities.

Pawan Kalyan urged more people to understand the importance of protecting groundwater. He pointed out that kidney issues, like those in Uddanam, are becoming more common across the state and are mostly caused by groundwater depletion.

Additionally, he urged everyone to include yoga into their daily routines by taking part in International Yoga Day on June 21.

Participating via video conference, Agriculture Minister Kinjarapu Achannaidu expressed his happiness that Pawan Kalyan selected his constituency to introduce the “Manam Ooru Kosam Maatamanti” initiative.

Participating were Srikakulam District Collector Swapnil, APSIRD Commissioner R Muthyal Raju, Commissioner Krishna Teja, Special Chief Secretary for Panchayat Raj & Rural Development Sasibhushan Kumar, and other high-ranking officials.
