On Thursday, he denied the news claiming that Pant would be released from Lucknow before the next season of IPL.

Pant lashed out at the user who spread fake news.

A user on social media claimed that 'Rishabh Pant can be released from Lucknow Super Giants before IPL 2026.' He further wrote, 'Lucknow team management feels that 27 crores is too much.' Pant responded to this in his style. He wrote- 'I understand that fake news promotes content more, but we should not build everything around it. News with a little understanding and credibility will be more beneficial and not fake news created with an agenda. Thank you, have a good day. Be responsible and sensible towards whatever you post on social media.' This user named Vaibhav Bhola deleted this tweet after Pant's rebuke. However, its screenshots are going viral on social media.

Pant's bat did not work in IPL 2025
This season has not been special for Rishabh Pant. He scored 151 runs in 13 matches at a strike rate of 107.09. This includes a half-century. In the match against Gujarat on Thursday, he remained unbeaten after scoring 16 runs in six balls with the help of two sixes. It is noteworthy that Pant was included in the team by Lucknow for Rs 27 crore in the mega auction, but he has been able to cross the 27-run mark only once so far. In the remaining matches, he has not been able to score more than 25 runs. At the same time, the Lucknow team is also out of the playoff race.
