But the real magic of Caravan was seen 8 years later when it was released in China. A report by News18 claimed that a total of 31 crore tickets of this film were sold globally. In 1979 Caravan created history by doing tremendous business at the Chinese box office. At that time this movie made a record-breaking worldwide collection of 8.8 crores in foreign countries. The biggest contribution to this was the films commercial success in China. If this overseas income of Caravan is compared with todays currency then it can certainly be more than Dangal. This way Caravan is the only film in the history of Indian cinema that achieved true success abroad. Let us tell you that this movie proved to be a milestone in the career of Jeetendra and Asha Parekh as actors. Aamir Khan starrer Dangal was released in 2016 it made a splash at the Chinese box office. According to the Bollywood Hungama report Dangal did a business of more than Rs 1000 crores in China. While the gross worldwide collection of the film was above Rs 2000 crores. It can be said that Jeetendras Caravan and Aamirs Dangal are the two most successful movies of Hindi cinema at the overseas level.
