Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, has ordered authorities to build contemporary sports institutions in each of the state’s 18 divisions and to build micro sports stadiums as soon as possible in each assembly seat.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the sports colleges should be established as centers of excellence and connected to sports universities to offer aspiring athletes training facilities of the highest caliber available on a global scale while chairing a high-level review meeting of the Sports, Youth Welfare, and Provincial Guard Force (PRD) Department on Thursday.

All sports infrastructure projects must be finished on schedule and with high quality, according to CM Yogi’s directive. He established a multi-level monitoring system to make sure of this, including monthly ministerial assessments, biweekly reviews by senior officials, and biweekly reviews by the principal secretary.

The Chief Minister was told by officials that sports colleges are now open in three divisions and that work is being done on three more. Yogi gave the order for the remaining 12 divisions to start building right now.

The Chief Minister emphasized the value of open athlete selection and advocated for a unified framework for sporting events that connects them to the MP-MLA Sports Games at all levels, from the gram panchayat to the state. In order to find and develop latent athletic ability at the grassroots level, he emphasized the need of inclusive tournaments for all age groups.

The establishment of a Sports and Injury Management Center at Guru Govind Singh Sports College in Lucknow was one of the significant announcements made at the summit. Leading medical facilities including SGPGI and KGMU will provide technical assistance to the facility.

In a similar ruling, the Chief Minister mandated that the hiring process for open posts in the Youth Welfare and Sports Departments begin right away in order to guarantee the prompt execution of government initiatives.

Furthermore, Yogi Adityanath ordered that Mangal Dal members and PRD jawans get disaster management training and be assigned to the role of “Disaster Mitras.” Additionally, he demanded that they participate in traffic control responsibilities after the necessary training. It was also required that the Mangal Dals’ involvement in sporting events and the sports equipment they were given be regularly observed.
