Since the evolution of OTT the series buffs have witnessed a lot of groundbreaking shows based on different genres especially related to murder mysteries crime thrillers etc. that include Mirzapur Sacred Games Paatal Lok Farzi and Rana Naidu. Now a new reality show has been announced that will be an Indian version of one of the highly acclaimed shows in the TV industry titled The Traitors that will feature 20 big celebrities from the industry. So without any further ado let us tell you more about this unscripted reality show. Karan Johar To Host The Traitors Indian Version The official OTT platform Prime Video took to its social media and dropped a 1-minute-42-seconds teaser of the upcoming show which will be hosted by Bollywoods iconic director-producer Karan Johar himself. The clip features KJo covered with masked men around him. Later he starts improvising the iconic character of Guddu Bhaiya from the series Mirzapur while saying Munna Bhaiya marr gaye aur tum darr gaye.. Later the teaser moves forward where Karan gives a slight idea about the theme of the show and about the contestants that will be joining the newly launched show. In the end shot Karan implies that this game is all about betrayals (dhoka) and nothing else as he ends the video while saying Rise and Shine its betrayal time. Contestants To Feature In The Show According to Karans small hint it is expected that The Rebel Kid aka Apurva Makhija will be featuring in the show along with social media influencer Uorfi Javed hip-hop artist Raftaar and Raj Kunndra. As per rumours several other contestants may include actors and actresses like Jasmine Bhasin Sudhanshu Pandey Ashish Vidyarthi Jannat Zubair and many other known faces. Meanwhile no official confirmation has been shared by any of the celebrities till this date. The Traitors Release Date The upcoming series will make its debut on Prime Video from June 12 2025. Its British version is hosted by Claudia Winkleman while Hollywood actor Alan Cumming hosts the American version. The Traitors has more than 35 adaptations in over 30 countries that has also made it earned BAFTA and Emmy Awards.
