The Repair Shop star Will Kirk looked unrecognisable as he marked a huge milestone last week.

The antique furniture restorer first appeared on the hit BBC programme back in 2017, and has since repaired various items over the years.

From restoring family heirlooms, sentimental items and fixing historical pieces, Will has become a fan-favourite on the BBC show.

Now, the star has recently taken to (May 14) to commemorate his 40th birthday, posting a photo of himself holding a glass of wine while on holiday with his family.

He also shared an image of himself as a toddler, where he is seen looking excitedly at a chocolate cake with two candles on.

"Here's to 40!" the caption began, alongside a series of celebatory emojis.

"I don't know how I got here so quickly, but I'm thankful for all the wonderful friends and family that have been with me along the way."

Zoe Ball was among those to send Will her well wishes, writing: "Happy birthday, Will."

Meanwhile, fans were quick to share their surprise after learning Will's age, with one person writing: "40?!!! I thought you were about 28! Happy Birthday."

Another added: "Happy Birthday Will. Certainly do not look 40!!" while a third said: "Just like that wine, you're getting better with age."

A fourth fan echoed the sentiment, writing: "Oh Will, I didn't know! A very happy 40th, dear man, and have a wonderful year too. Am just a fan from the RS.... and I thank you and all your friends there for all the joy you brought us. I miss you all dreadfully. Best programme on TV. Lots of love to you and your family."

Will is married to Polly Snowdon, an educational psychologist, and the couple share two children. Their daughter was born back in July 2022, followed by their son in October 2024.

Speaking about his home life, Will recently told the Mirror: "There is always something that needs fixing. It is never ending."

He added: "My wife did say, 'You know if you can't sand the floor and you're not happy with it, we can always get someone in?' And I said, 'No way! No way! Not in this house!' It is hard, especially with two children as well, but I absolutely love it."

The Repair Shop is available to stream on BBC iPlayer
