Us Bans Harvard: A major setback has come out recently for thousands of Indian students dreaming of studying in America. The administration of President Donald Trump has taken a drastic step and stopped Harvard University from admission to international students. This decision has especially put the future of hundreds of Indian students into uncertainty, who are already nominated or preparing for admission.
Crisis in America, what should Indian students do now?
Now these students have only two options in front of them, either they move to another American institution or the risk of losing their legitimate position in the US. According to Harvard’s official website, there are currently 788 Indian students studying and a total of 6,800 international students are enrolled in various programs there.
Disputed decision of Trump administration
Christie NoM, Secretary, Department of Homeland Security, has made serious allegations against Harvard that the unprotected atmosphere for Jewish students, sympathy to Hamas and racist ‘diversity, equity, inclustion (Dei)’ policies to promote policies. On this basis, the right to admit international students from the university was taken away. The Harvard administration has strongly criticized the decision, calling the decision “illegal and unfair”.
