In order to facilitate Aadhaar linkage for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) recipients and create new India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) accounts, the Department of Posts is working with the Andhra Pradesh government to organize special camps across village and ward secretariats. These camps would run till June 4, 2025, according to Senior Superintendent B. Narasappa of the Tirupati Postal Division.
By creating new accounts, connecting Aadhaar to already-existing IPPB accounts, and allowing NPCI mapping to guarantee seamless DBT transfers, the program seeks to advance financial inclusion with assistance from the local district government. Reactivating 11,599 inactive accounts via the district’s 465 post offices is a major priority.
Participation is open to eligible persons who are residents of the State and are at least 18 years old. We urge those who don’t have a bank account or whose accounts aren’t active to take advantage of this chance. To register an IPPB account, all you need is your Aadhaar number, cellphone number, and Rs. 200 payment. No physical papers are needed. Direct access to government financial services and social benefits is guaranteed under the program. Beneficiaries are encouraged to visit the post office closest to them for further information.
