As the first line of defense, the Jaisalmer BSF’s Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Yogendra Singh Rathore, highlighted the force’s steadfast dedication to national security.

“The BSF is always on guard at the border and serves as the first line of defense. The India-Pakistan conflict in 1971, which occurred five or six years after it was formed, demonstrated its value even at that time. We also prevailed in the Kargil conflict. Following the event on April 22, when the terrorists massacred our innocent compatriots, we were prepared to respond appropriately. DIG Rathore said, “We were ready to put an end to any mishap there, and we stood by the decision made by the Government of India.”

Officer Jaipal Singh of the Border Security Force (BSF) emphasized the BSF’s preparedness to protect national security, especially after successfully eliminating drone threats during Operation Sindoor.

In close cooperation with the Indian Air Force, the BSF was able to damage enemy infrastructure by effectively targeting Pakistani airbases.

He said, “The BSF has always been prepared to carry out its responsibility for the nation’s security, both during and before Operation Sindoor. Drone activity significantly increased during Operation Sindoor. The adversary launched mortars and drones, but we skillfully utilized our equipment to destroy their drones. During this time, the Indian Air Force performed well. Numerous Pakistani air bases suffered damage. We take great pleasure in this.”
To guarantee the safety of the country’s borders, the BSF keeps up its increased vigilance.

In reaction to the Pahalgam terror incident, India began Operation Sindoor on May 7 and targeted Pakistani and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POJK) militant infrastructure.

Subsequent Pakistani attack was successfully countered by the Indian Armed Forces, who also bombarded its air bases. Following a request by Pakistan’s DGMO to his Indian counterpart, the two nations have agreed to halt military action.
