Twelve people injured in knife attack at Hamburg railway station in Germany

A knife assault at Hamburg station in Germany on Friday night wounded at least 12 people. Three people are reportedly in critical condition.
The local police, meanwhile, said that they had taken the alleged attacker into custody.
According to Germany’s Bild newspaper, authorities are looking into the incident, although they have not yet determined what motivated the assault.
Hamburg police said on social networking site X that a 39-year-old woman, who is thought to have acted alone, was taken into custody soon after the event.
Police said the assailant targeted individuals on the station’s platform between tracks 13 and 14.
