
Actor Rahul Dev issued a statement following the death of his brother, Mukul Dev, who passed away on Friday night at the age of 54 in Delhi. While he did not disclose the cause of death, reports suggest that Mukul had been unwell for the past few days, was hospitalised for 8–10 days, and his health deteriorated last night. On Saturday, Rahul took to his Instagram story to share details about Mukul’s last rites, writing, "Our brother Mukul Dev passed away peacefully at New Delhi last night..He's survived by his daughter Sia Dev. Missed by siblings Rashmi Kaushal, Rahul Dev and nephew Sidhant Dev. Born in New Delhi to a Punjabi family, Mukul was a versatile actor who appeared not only in Hindi films and television serials but also in a few Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu films.He also holds a certificate in aeronautics from the Indira Gandhi Institute of Aviation in Raebareli.Mukul received his first paycheque in school for reportedly paying tribute to Michael Jackson’s dance style during a dance show organized by Doordarshan.Mukul was also set to make his Bollywood comeback with Son Of Sardaar 2, starring Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur. The film is directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and comes nearly 12 years after the original.
