New Delhi . The Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has made serious allegations of replacing the picture of Shri Harmandir Sahib (Gold Temple) (Gold Temple) on Punjab Government (Punjab Government) through computer-generated techniques. Dhami said, “This advertisement released by the government is an insult to the faith of Sikhs. Harmandir Sahib is a spiritual center of Sikhism and digitally tampered with his picture is an insult to Sikh reverence and faith.” He also said that hundreds of authentic and real pictures of Harmandir Sahib are available on the Internet today, despite this, it is very painful to use AI and perverted picture by the government.
The SGPC president questioned that making such a picture public without consulting SGPC reflects the government’s insensitivity. He said, “The government should clarify on this issue and immediately apologize in public.”
Dhami also clarified that it is the responsibility of SGPC to organize centenary celebrations and not the government. He said, “The responsibility of the government is to do development work in those cities which are associated with Guru Sahibans, as well as to establish a suitable monument by collaborating with SGPC, it should also be the role of the government.”
After this reaction of SGPC, there is also resentment in religious organizations and Sikh Sangat. On social media too, many people have asked the government questions that when real pictures were present, why did AI -based image need to be needed?
It is worth noting that Shri Harmandir Sahib is also known as Golden Temple i.e. Golden Temple. It is the most sacred pilgrimage center of Sikhism. It is not only a spiritual center for Sikhs, but also an open worship place for people of all religions and castes. It was founded in 1604 by Sikh Guru Arjan Dev, and later Maharaja Ranjit Singh decorated it with marble and gold layers, due to which it is called “Golden Temple”.
