If you want to keep ginger fresh for a long time, then you can keep it safe for 6 months by adopting some easy and effective methods given below.

Keep in airtight container in the fridge

Peel the ginger or clean it and keep it in the airtight compartment. Keep it in a different fridge drawer from vegetables.

Store in freezer

Peel the ginger and cut it into small pieces or grind it. Freeze by placing ice tray or zip in lock bag. This will not spoil it for months.

Dip it in honey

Put ginger pieces in a glass bottle and add honey over it. This method will not only keep ginger safe, but will also increase its taste.

Store in vinegar

Cut the ginger into thin pieces and immerse it in vinegar. It becomes a kind of pickle and lasts for a long time.

Make powder by drying
