27,124 students took oath to leave polythene

  • Raha Group Foundation and Education Department jointly organized drawing competitions, rallies and street plays to spread awareness about the ill effects of polythene.

(Rewari News) Rewari. In order to motivate school children not to use polythene, the Rou Group Foundation and Education Department jointly administered an oath to 27,124 students from 62 schools of Brass Nagari Rewari to leave polythene. Foundation President Naresh Selpad and Haryana Private School Association representative Jawaharlal Dohan said that this campaign is the biggest awareness program in the state.

The main event was held at SD School Khori. Apart from this, students also participated in awareness rallies in Government Senior Secondary School Bikaner, Gurwada, Dharuhera and Koreas and participated in painting/drawing and speech competitions.

Awareness rally under polythene free India campaign

The awareness rally organized during the polythene free India campaign attracted the attention of the people. The students spread the message of leaving polythene with slogans like ‘Break ties with polythene, life from life’. He went to villages and towns and made people aware. In addition, painting/drawing and speech competitions were also motivated to reduce the use of polythene.

A painting competition was organized in three classes to raise awareness to abandon polythene. Students were given topics such as leaving polythene, suggesting options and environmental protection. The Chairman of the Foundation told the students that on an average one Indian uses 9.7 kg of polythene per year. 2 million polythene bags per minute are used in the world. He said that four circles of the earth can be formed with the plastic thrown every year. This situation becomes more serious when a plastic bag takes about 1000 years to finish.
