Suzuki E-Access Range And Expected Price?

The Access scooter is a popular name but in its electric form can it have the same success? The e-Access has a 3.07kWh LFP battery which has a claimed range of 95km. The LFP battery is an interesting addition since LFP means less range over an NMC but it also means better safety too. The electric motor meanwhile produces 4.1kW and 15Nm.

Charging time from 0-100 is 6 hours and 42 minutes while fast charging is there too at a time of 2 hours and 12 minutes. Suzuki also claims that performance is similar irrespective of battery charge left till 10 percent. Unlike other e scooters the performance does not taper off and that is a plus. The e-Access then mirrors the qualities of its petrol sibling as there is quality, dependable, reliable and fuss free.

Design wise, it is smart but isn't too overly styled but it does stand out from the standard model. The feature list is decent too with a 4.2 inch TFT although seat storage could be better. There are four ride modes- Eco, Ride mode A, Ride mode B and Reverse. We think the e-Access is similar to the standard model as it builds on the strengths.

While the range is less than rivals, it is practical, reliable and a no-nonsense electric scooter for everyday use. We like the practical touches, the design and the quality which would be the selling points but with high competition pricing needs to be competitive as well. We think the pricing would be kept competitive at around Rs 1.1 lakh and it will have its own set of buyers due to the ease of use.
