After these claims, Dharma Productions has replied, which clarified that no formal complaint was made against Shah during the production of the film. A statement was issued by the Production Company which claimed, “In Dharma Productions, in any capacity, there is a policy of inappropriate behavior and sexual harassment against any person working with us, and we have a void-assertion affair against any person working with us, and we have sexual harassment matters against any person working with us in any capacity. Take very seriously. ” The statement further stated that Shah, who worked as an independent cinematographer on ‘Homebound’, was hired for a limited period.
The production house insisted that during this period, no complaint was filed with the Internal Committee established under the prevention of sexual harassment (POSH) guidelines. The statement said that “Mr. Prateek Shah was an independent artist on the homebound project and was working on it for a limited period. His work with us has been completed. During this limited period, our internal committee for POSH did not receive any complaint against him from any artist or crew of our film homebound.”
‘Homebound’ which made history as the only Indian film to be screened in the Un Sutten Regard section at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, has attracted important international attention.
Produced by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawala, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra, the film got a great reception with a thunderous applause by standing in the ear. The film consists of several actors including Ishaan Khattar, Janhvi Kapoor and Vishal Jethwa. (ANI)
