He said that Rinku and Priya have known each other for more than a year and met through a normal friend, whose father is also a cricketer.

Six months after the engagement, on 18 November 2025, Rinku and Priya will tie the knot at the Taj Hotel in Varanasi. Stormy Saroj said that the wedding date and event will be decided according to Rinku’s cricket schedule so that their commercial commitments are not affected.

In 2023, he made headlines by hitting five sixes in an over against the Gujarat Titans. On the other hand, 26 -year -old Priya Saroj was elected MP from Machilishahar in Jaunpur in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and is one of the youngest women MPs in India. Priya, a resident of Karkhiyanv village in Varanasi, has graduated from Delhi University and law degree from Amity University, Noida. She has also been a lawyer in the Supreme Court.

The two liked each other but needed the consent of their families. Now both families have agreed to the wedding,” said Stormy Saroj.
