Kovid-19 cases rise

The cases of Kovid-19 in India have again gained momentum. According to recent government data, the number of active cases has exceeded 3,000. Especially states like Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Delhi are the most affected. The Health Ministry said that Kovid cases have increased by 10 times since May 25.

Unprecedented increase in infection

In the last 9 days, there has been an increase of about 1300 percent in cases of infection. Currently the total number of active cases across the country is 3,783. In the last 48 hours, the death of 21 people from Kovid-19 has been confirmed. It is a matter of concern that a person died in Bengaluru who took all three vaccine doses.

Status of Kovid-19 in states

According to state-wise data, Kerala has the most active cases of Kovid-19, which exceeds 1,400. On Sunday, 64 new cases were reported there. On June 1, 18 new cases were registered in Maharashtra with 485 active cases. There is also an increase in Kovid cases in Delhi, where there are 436 active cases and 61 new patients appeared on 1 June.

No need to panic

Although the infection is increasing, the Ministry of Health has said that cases are being monitored seriously. Most of the patients are not required to be hospitalized and they are undergoing treatment at home.

No serious symptoms in patients

Dr. Rajiv Bahl, head of ICMR, said that the variants that have been identified in the current affairs are sub-types of Omikron, such as LF.7, XFG, JN.1 and NB.1.8.1. Severe symptoms are not being seen in them. Experts have advised the public to maintain restraint and avoid panic.
