New Delhi: Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan, who is well known for his movie Marco, is in headlines these days because of a controversy surrounding his former manager. The manager named Vipin Kumar is said to have accused the Marco actor of physical assault and verbal abuse.
Reports also claim that Vipin has filed a complaint against Unni at the Info Park police station in Kochi after coping with the injuries after the attack. After this, the actor has also filed a complaint against his former manager with the Kerala Director General of Police, saying he has been targeted, and accused, in a false case.
The actor’s response
In a press conference held in Kochi, Kerala, the Malayalam actor kept his point and said, “This is not a case of assault. There was no physical violence. As a friend, I only wanted to confront Vipin about why he was speaking negatively about me. During the heated exchange, I did throw his sunglasses — that is true. But there was no physical contact.”
The actor further said that his former manager is already facing a lot of complaints from within the industry, and he is not even a registered member of the Film Employees Federation of Kerela (FEFKA). He stated, “There are cases against Vipin in FEFKA. More than one actress has approached film organisations with complaints about him.”
Vipin’s Complaint
As per YearsVipin filed an FIR against Unni on May 26, where he told the agency, “He called me for a meeting. When I arrived, he shouted at me, punched and hit me. Another person had to step in to stop him.” He further added, “After the movie’s release, he was disheartened that top directors weren’t reaching out. He vented that frustration on me.”
As per the recent updates, both the actor and manager are accusing each other, and no official update has been announced on the case yet.
