Billie Piper, the former pop sensation turned actress, shot to fame at just 15 with her chart-topping hit Because We Want To.

Now at 41, Billie has navigated a rollercoaster of triumphs and tribulations in her career and personal life, including a fleeting romance and challenging split before becoming a doting mother to three.

Let's take a closer look at her romantic history...

Chris Evans

At the tender age of 18, Billie took the bold step of proposing to her then-beau, radio DJ Chris Evans, back in 2001.

Their love story was nothing short of a whirlwind affair; after a mere four months of dating, Billie popped the question on Chris's birthday. The couple then jetted off to Las Vegas for a quick wedding, reports .

With Chris being 35 at the time, their union sparked a media frenzy, catapulting them to the status of Britain's most talked-about couple, though not without its share of "baggage".

Reflecting on the public's perception, Billie remarked, "Rather than 'oh she was a popstar', it was more 'she was a popstar, then she got p***ed for five years with an old man,'" highlighting the scrutiny they faced.

The marriage, according to Billie, left an indelible "lasting image" whenever she entered an audition room.

In a candid conversation with The Guardian, she expressed her fondness for that chapter of her life: "Loved it, loved that time, learned so much, [I] really needed it, after the experiences that I'd had, leading up to that point and I felt like I'd actually found a real friend.

"I guess meeting someone who had experienced [fame] for 20 years, at that level, it was very nurturing and also very drunken, which I needed, I had a lot of fun during those years."

Laurence Fox

Laurence Fox and Billie Piper crossed paths on the theatrical production Treats in 2006 and were smitten, resulting in nuptials held the following year at St Mary's Church in Eastbourne, West Sussex.

The couple, after marrying, ushered in their family growth with the birth of two children, Winston and Eugene. According to Laurence, navigating their union was a challenge, with fiery disputes not uncommon.

In a revelation made to The Sunday Times, he disclosed that he "100% wound the f*** out of her", while later deciding to put an end to argumentative interactions.

Billie offered an echo to Laurence's sentiments regarding their conjugal tribulations, as indicated in a discussion with Psychologies magazine where she highlighted trivial causes for most rows: "[the rows are] usually something really stupid.

"It's emotionally up and down the extremities of emotion. Being in love isn't something that goes, 'Oh, this is it then.' It's more dramatic. It can make you feel sick and then out of control and hyper."

2016 became the juncture when the duo chose to tread separate paths, culminating a marriage that had its share of joys and woes. This divorce sharply contrasted from Billie's previous separation from Chris, entrenching itself amidst a contentious custody contest over Winston and Eugene.

Laurence opened up to the Mirror about the toll of the divorce, stating: "The physical symptoms of trauma and suffering are profound panic attacks for an extended period of time, and I've never had a panic attack in my life before.

"I haven't slept for six months, even with sleeping pills. I go to bed the same time, same bed as the kids and just lie awake, sleeping two or three hours. My mind's whirring round."

He further added: "I think mental health is much undiscussed in this country, men especially are scared of it, but it's good to talk about feelings. There's only so much room in the cupboard to store them up."

In conversation with British Vogue magazine, Billie discussed co-parenting with Laurence - from whom she separated after 9 years of marriage in 2016 - describing it as being done with "enormous difficulty."

She expressed: "I close everything down and keep a very strict routine with the kids so that there's consistency. I keep them close. That's all I can do. I try to keep people from telling me stuff but it's really, really hard. I don't read it but everyone wants to talk about it. Sometimes I have to say to people: 'Please don't bring this to me, now or ever.'"

Johnny Lloyd

The former Doctor Who actress and Tribes frontman Johnny, who share a five year old daughter, Tallulah, had been together for eight years before their split was confirmed in February 2024.

It's reported that the lockdown periods were challenging for them, leading to a re-evaluation of their relationship before they decided to part ways.

Over the years, the romance between Billie and Johnny largely remained a private affair. However, Johnny once tenderly opened up to Event magazine about his partner saying: "She's made my life better in so many ways and I just feel I now know who I am, I know what I can do, I know where I want to be. And that's with her."

Despite parting ways, The Sun reports the ex-couple plans to preserve their friendship and hold dear the moments they've shared.

In expressing the solemnity of the situation, a source confided: "It's obviously very sad that the couple have gone their separate ways. But the relationship ran its course and they decided they would be better off apart."

The source continued to disclose: "Like many couples, lockdown was quite tough for them, so they have had time to really think about what they want their future to look like. They will always treasure the time they had together and have many happy memories. Now they are concentrating on co-parenting their daughter and their separate careers."
