The Early Life and Struggle Of Shakti Kapoor Shakti Kapoor was born in Delhi. His father Sikandar Lal Kapoor was a tailor who managed a clothing store in New Delhis Connaught Place. But his son had larger goals so he decided to try his hand at movies. However his father wanted to make him a tailor as it was their family business which he strictly refused. In 1977 he made his Bollywood debut with the film Khel Khilari Ka starring Dharmendra and Hema Malini.  After long struggle and few minor roles in films Sunil Dutt discovered Shakti Kapoor while filming Rocky to officially launch his son Sanjay Dutt. Shakti Kapoor was cast as villain in the movie. Sunil Dutt changed his name to Shakti Kapoor before this film because he believed his birth name Sunil Kapoor will not do justice to his villain image.  Shakti Kapoor rose from early struggles to become one of Indian cinemas most recognizable actors. Even at the age of 72 he is still active in Bollywood. In 1982 Shakti Kapoor tied the knot with Shivangi Kapoor who is an older sister of renowned actresses Padmini and Tejaswini Kolhapure. The duo has two children a son named Siddhanth Kapoor and daughter Shraddha Kapoor who has now become one of the leading actresses from the industry. Shraddha and Her Immense Popularity Shraddha Kapoor made her debut in 2010 with the film Teen Patti for which she also won the Filmfare Award for Best Debut. However she received true recognition from the Aditya Roy Kapoor starrer Aashiqui 2. Shraddha Kapoor appears to be outperforming everyone in terms of popularity.
