Dakshina Kannada officials meet Kasaragod SP to address cross-border issues

Mangaluru: Top officials from Dakshina Kannada district held a meeting with Kasaragod Superintendent of Police on Monday to strengthen coordination on interstate law and order matters.
The discussions focused on tracing absconding accused in communal cases, de-escalating tensions, and curbing interstate crimes. Joint action was planned against illegal cattle and sand transportation across the border.
Both sides shared intelligence on known communal trouble-makers. Issues concerning Kerala students studying in Mangaluru were also discussed.
The meeting aimed to improve cooperation and ensure peace in sensitive border areas.
