Lucknow News: It was 25th April 2009, it was 6 am in the morning. There was a mud house in Gaura village of Mohanlalganj tehsil of Lucknow district of Uttar Pradesh. The stove was burning in the courtyard of the house, and the woman of the house Santoshi was cutting vegetables. At that time her 3 children were sleeping in the house, including 6 year old Ram Roop, 4 year old Sumiran and 1.5 year old Ravi. The children were sleeping on a cot. Husband Sarwan was sitting outside the house. Then Santoshi said in anger that since long I have been telling you to bring salt from the shop, but you don't listen. Oil is also finished. To this Sarwan replied sharply that yes, yes, I am going. She started shouting early in the morning. In anger Santoshi threw the frying pan. Then Sarwan replied that she will not listen and buttoned his shirt and left the house.

A man and a woman entered the house with an axe and attacked Santoshi

According to the information received, after about 10 minutes, a man and a woman entered the house. The woman had an axe in her hand and was screaming that today we will line up all of you. She said, what are you looking at, pick up the axe and finish them off. If we want to live together, they will have to die. The man picked up the axe and as soon as he entered the house, he started roaming around the house with abuses. Santoshi fearlessly stood in front of that man and said, come and kill me if you have the courage. Hearing the noise, the children woke up. The man had just picked up the axe when 6-year-old Ram Roop came out and started pleading by hugging the man's feet, "Leave mummy." But the man kicked Ram Roop and threw the axe towards Santoshi's neck. The axe hit her neck, which made her eye pop out. Santoshi fell near the stove. Her groans slowly stopped and a stream of blood started flowing in the courtyard.

Attempt to save children failed, 4 innocents brutally murdered

It is being told that after this Ram Roop started running, but that man caught him and said that you were going to tell the villagers, wait. Then he hit an axe on Ram Roop's ear, and hit his face and forehead several times. Ram Roop's body was riddled with bullets and he died in agony. Just then 4-year-old Sumiran came crying. That murderer threw her on the ground and hit her neck several times, due to which her head got separated from the body. Meanwhile, Santoshi's body started moving. The woman screamed and said that she is alive, cut her throat. The murderer dragged Santoshi and threw her in the courtyard and hit her neck four times. The neck got separated from the body, then the woman said that her one and a half year old son is inside, kill him too. The murderer entered the house and while crying hit an axe on Ravi's chest, due to which he broke into two pieces.

When the neighbors came after hearing the screams…

Koli's family lived in front of Santoshi's house. Koli's wife Madhuri was cooking with her daughters Sangeeta and Geeta. Hearing the screams, Madhuri reached home. Seeing the courtyard covered in blood and a man with an axe, she started running. The murderer called out to her, "Come here too. You jump into our fight, don't you?" and attacked her from behind with an axe, which cut off Madhuri's right ear. Then he attacked her head several times and Madhuri's head split into two pieces. Hearing Madhuri's screams, her daughter Sangeeta ran. The murderer threw an axe at her arm, but she ran to the police station through the fields screaming. Madhuri's 12-year-old son Rajendra was bathing in the field. A child told him that his mother had been killed. When Rajendra reached home, the murderer attacked him with an axe several times. His body was also riddled with bullets, but he was breathing. When Koli returned from the field, he started crying after seeing his wife and son soaked in blood. The villagers gathered. After which the murderer threw the axe and ran towards the field and the woman who came with him also disappeared.

Sangita reached the police station

Sangita reached the police station soaked in blood and told SHO Ashok Kumar Shukla that her mother and family members had been killed. The police immediately reached Gaura village. Madhuri's body was found on the road and four mutilated bodies were found in the house. The bodies were sent for post-mortem and Rajendra was taken to the hospital. The villagers said that Sarwan had done all this. The villagers said that Sarwan was accompanied by a woman, who had fled towards the field. The police broke the door of Sarwan's brother Pawan's house, where his wife Suman was found. Suman said that she was hiding in the house out of fear.

Everyone was brought to the police station

The police brought Koli, Nanha, Suman, Sangeeta and Geeta to the police station. Sangeeta said that Suman had asked her to kill her mother. Koli said that Sarwan had an illicit relationship with his sister-in-law Suman. Santoshi opposed it, so Sarwan used to beat her. Suman rejected these allegations and said that Nanha had an affair with Santoshi. Nanha denied these things and said that he had gone to put up the mandap. At 4 pm, the police caught Sarwan from the field. He said that Nanha killed his wife and children because he had an affair with his sister-in-law Suman and there was a land dispute.

Questions before the police

The police had many questions like who is responsible for the murder—Sarwan, Suman or Nanha?, If Nanha did it then why did he kill his mother?, Was the relationship between Suman and Sarwan the reason for the land dispute or the murder?

9 years later

When the police solved the case, it was found that Bhabhi Suman and Sarwan together killed all the family members. This case remained unsolved for many years. After about 9 years, the court sentenced Sarwan to death and Suman to 4 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 2000. This incident became a heinous murder, which spread terror in the entire area.
