The stage is set for an electrifying finish at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) posted a competitive 190/9 after being sent into bat against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL 2025 final.
RCB got off to a solid start, scoring 55/1 in the Powerplay with Virat Kohli anchoring the innings with a 43 off 35 deliveries. The middle overs saw crucial contributions from Liam Livingstone (25) and Jitesh Sharma (24) pushing the total past 180.
However, Arshdeep Singh’s exceptional last-over performance saw him claim multiple wickets, restricting RCB from crossing the 200-run mark.
A nearly full stadium was treated to a musical performance from Shankar Mahadevan and his two sons and tributes were also paid to the Indian armed forces for Operation Sindoor.
