Adnan Sami’s professional trouble in Pakistan

Talking about what went wrong in Pakistan, he said, “I come from a very rich family. I have never been a greedy of money because I was born in a house where I always had everything. An artist always wanted the audience. I got a lot of love from Pakistan, but I wanted a big audience class. After my songs released in 1998, I would not have been finished and my songs will be finished. He did not campaign for those songs when no one was released and disappeared in Canada.

What advice did Asha Bhosle advise to Adnan Sami?

Recalling the conversation with veteran singer Asha Bhosle, he said, “I told Asha ji that I am disappointed because the people here have decided that they do not want to work with me for any reason, and I want to record with her in London.” In response, Bhosle advised him to go to Mumbai and said, “Why do you want to record in London?” He asked me that I know some people there, ‘If you really want to do something new, it is the capital of Hindi music.

Sami told how Bhosle and his family supported him in his early days in India, “I reached Mumbai with a Boria bed.” He told, “He asked me to stay in RD Burman’s house. I was very lucky because it was like a music temple.”

Songs in Pakistan were ignored

The songs that did not last in Pakistan became a hit in India. “The songs that do not run in Pakistan, like sometimes, in the wet nights, lift them, they were sold so well that everything else is history. The way people adopted me and loved me, I had never imagined it”, he said.

Sami said that he did not intend to come to India with money. He said, “I came to India because of money. In fact, when I came here, I had to start again.” “At that time I was facing a lot of problems as a Pakistani citizen, especially in a public profession. Everyone knows all your steps. I also approached Musharraf to help.”

He applied for Indian citizenship in 2015 and the next year he was awarded citizenship. Earlier this year, he was awarded the Padma Shri, India’s fourth largest civilian honor.
