Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s historic maiden IPL title win on Tuesday night sparked an outpouring of joy and heartfelt tributes from film celebrities across the South Indian film industry. Stars like Allu Arjun, Vijay Deverakonda, Shanthanu Baghyaraj, and director Rathna Kumar took to social media to celebrate the emotional victory that ended an 18-year-long wait.

Among the first to extend his wishes was Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda, who wrote on X, “Congratulations to @RCBTweets, all RCB fans. You have waited with so much energy and passion and love. It's a happy happy moment to see.”

Tamil actor Shanthanu Baghyaraj also congratulated the Bengaluru franchise, posting, “Congratulations @RCBTweets. It’s been a long wait... Sharing the excitement, Telugu superstar Allu Arjun posted, “The wait is over. ‘Ee sala cup namde!’ At last! We've been waiting for this day for 18 years. A big, big congratulations to RCB!”

Tamil filmmaker Rathna Kumar also joined in, tweeting, “Dear RCB fans, This is how it feels to win a trophy. Enjoy the moment. Hope the fire inside Kohli stays the same. See you next season. Congrats. #RCBvPBKS.” He also shared an image showcasing Virat Kohli’s impressive run tally through each IPL season since 2008.

RCB wins IPL 2025

RCB clinched their first-ever IPL title with a thrilling six-run win over Punjab Kings at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. After being restricted to 190/9 in 20 overs—thanks to a solid bowling effort by Arshdeep Singh (3-40) and Kyle Jamieson (3-38)—RCB bounced back with a brilliant bowling display, limiting Punjab Kings to 184/7 in their 20 overs, sealing a memorable victory.
