Even though the Gujarat Titans (GT) fell short of making it to the final of IPL 2025, two of their players stole the spotlight by topping the individual charts—B Sai Sudharsan with the Orange Cap and Prasidh Krishna with the Purple Cap—giving GT a reason to celebrate. Sai Sudharsan: Batting Brilliance Young left-handed opener B Sai Sudharsan had a dream season with the bat, finishing as the tournament’s leading run-getter with 759 runs. He stood 42 runs ahead of Mumbai Indians (MI) star Suryakumar Yadav, who ended with 717 runs. In a late twist, Virat Kohli’s composed 43-run knock in Tuesday night’s final took him to third place in the run-scoring chart with 657 runs. While Kohli has previously won the Orange Cap in 2016 and 2024, he narrowly missed a third title this season but once again proved his legendary consistency. GT skipper Shubman Gill (650 runs) and Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) Mitchell Marsh (627) completed the top five run-scorers of the season. Prasidh Krishna: Leading the Bowling Pack In another major milestone for Gujarat, fast bowler Prasidh Krishna bagged the Purple Cap, claiming 25 wickets across the season. He edged past CSK’s Afghan spinner Noor Ahmad, who finished with 24 wickets. After the final, RCB’s Josh Hazlewood ended third with 22 wickets. Prasidh’s pace and precision proved vital for GT, often giving them early breakthroughs and controlling the death overs with maturity and calm. Although Gujarat Titans couldn’t replicate their previous championship run, Sai Sudharsan and Prasidh Krishna ensured the franchise finished with pride. Their achievements underline the strength and potential within the team and provide a strong foundation for the seasons ahead.
