New Delhi . The launch for the International Space Station (ISS) of the Indian astronaut group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla (ISS) has been postponed till 10 June, as the Payal Group’s compulsory pre-Flight Quarantine Process has not been completed.

This mission is part of the AX-4 program of Axiom Space. The mission was originally scheduled to start on 29 May, which was later re -scheduled for June 8, but the reason for operating preparations and ongoing Quantine procedures will now be held on June 10.

Shubhanshu Shukla will be the mission pilot
Shubhanshu Shukla will serve as a pilot in this mission and will be the first Indian to visit ISS. He would be the second Indian to go to space, first Indian Rakesh Sharma, who did a historic mission in 1984. The AX-4 mission consists of Pigi Whitson as Mission Commander, an experienced NASA astronaut.

Health checkups are daily
This “health status” protocol is a standard safety measure for all human space flights. The aim is to ensure that astronauts are free from any infectious disease, which can put the mission at risk or threaten members of other crew members of ISS.

During this time astronauts are kept in a controlled environment, where strict hygiene rules are applied. They have daily health checkups and are limited to contact with outsiders. This process is extremely important because ISS is a close system, where even a slight disease can cause serious consequences.
