Kamal Haasan on His Collaboration with Mani Ratnam
In a recent interview, Kamal Haasan reflected on reuniting with Mani Ratnam, stating, “Both of us have evolved. It is not the same Mani Ratnam, nor the same Kamal Haasan who acted in that film. AR Rahman is also not the same music director who scored for Roja. If it is not like that, then it is wrong. We are proud that we have evolved over time and have not remained in the same place.”
He further emphasized their goal to create a film that would not evoke memories of 'Nayakan', which they aimed to achieve.
Controversy Surrounding 'Thug Life'
The film has also stirred controversy after Kamal Haasan remarked that 'Kannada is born out of Tamil' during an event, resulting in 'Thug Life' being banned in Karnataka.
