The Delhi Fire Service official said that the information of the blast was found in the control room at 11:17 am. The caller said that there was a sudden explosion in a house and many people were injured. Two women, a man and a child were injured in this. Police and emergency services were immediately dispatched to the spot.

Fire was controlled in 28 minutes

“Three fire brigade vehicles were sent on the spot as soon as we received the information. The house caught fire, which was completely under control by 11:45 am,” the official said. He said that firefighters had to struggle hard to control the fire, because the fire was spreading rapidly due to gas leakage.

All scorched people identified

The official further stated that the scorched people were identified as three brothers Saqib (7), Abbas (9) and Raja (3), besides Arshad (22). The three children are the son of a person named Afsar. According to the information, Saqib has scorched 90 percent, Abbas and Raja 85 percent and Arshad 70 percent. The official said that Arshad was working inside the warehouse at the time of the incident. On receiving information about the blast, two fire engines were sent on the spot.

Fire officer Anoop Singh said, “The explosion in the cylinder was reported. The team of me and Shastri Park reached the spot and saw that it was a permanent slum. Inside, there was a small LPG cylinder with Petromax. The locals told us that the gas was leaking and as soon as someone lit the match, it immediately burst. Four people were scorched.
