New Delhi: Popular television actress Tejasswi Prakash recently opened up about her former co-contestant Dipika Kakar’s health, revealing that she had reached out to her after learning of her liver cancer diagnosis. The two bonded during their time on 'Celebrity MasterChef', and Tejasswi has now talked about her concern for Dipika's well-being.
Dipika Kakar, who had to abruptly exit the reality cooking show 'Celebrity MasterChef' due to a hand injury, later revealed in an emotional social media post that she has been diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. The news left fans, celebrities, and fellow TV personalities shocked and praying for her recovery.
Tejasswi Prakash's Supportive Message
At a recent event, Tejasswi was asked about Dipika’s condition during a conversation with One100newsmedia. She shared that she was aware of the diagnosis before it became public and had personally reached out to check on Dipika’s health.
"I did message her. I did ask her. Even before it came out in the news, she told me that it's malignant. Obviously, she sounded worried, and I'm worried for her also. She has gone into surgery today. I don't want to keep bothering her as much as I want to kind of reach out to her," Tejasswi said. She also added that she plans to speak to Dipika over the phone once things settle down.
Dipika Kakar’s Health Update
For those unaware, Dipika had shared her diagnosis with her fans on May 27, disclosing that a tumor in her liver had turned out to be cancerous. Her husband, actor Shoaib Ibrahim, took to Instagram to inform well-wishers that her surgery was scheduled for June 3.
On June 4, Shoaib gave a detailed update stating that the surgery, which lasted a grueling 14 hours, was successful. However, he mentioned that Dipika was in significant pain post-operation and is currently in the ICU recovering. Since then, fans have been anxiously waiting for further updates.
