Many lives were known in terrible stampede

On June 4, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Bengaluru caused a stampede in the celebration of the IPL victory, in which 11 people lost their lives and more than 50 people were injured. The tragic incident took place outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, where millions of fan gathered to celebrate the victory of the team.

Questions raised on lack of security system

25 -year -old Rolan Gomes has filed a complaint at Kabban Park Police Station, holding RCB, Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) and event management company DNA Entertainment Private Limited. Gomes says that RCB had given information about the program on social media, in which it was reported that tickets would be issued at the venue and admission will be allowed without tickets. He alleged that the organizers promoted the Vijay Parade, but no concrete arrangements were made to control the mob.

Quick action of the Government of Karnataka

After the incident, the Karnataka government took immediate action and suspended Bangalore Police Commissioner B Dayanand and four other senior police officers. Along with this, an FIR has also been lodged against the top officials of RCB and KSCA. The Karnataka High Court has directed the state police that no punitive action should be taken against the KSCA officials in the stampede case. The hearing of the case has been postponed till 16 June.
